About Me

I am so glad you stopped by!  Welcome!!
I need to clarify something before we get started.  I had originally stated that I was going to be baking something every day for 365 days.  I did not take into account that I might be ill some days (doesn't happen often, but when it does, it pretty much knocks me out) or that there might be computer issues either on the Blogger end or with me.  So, I just wanted to be upfront and let you know that I am baking every day for 365 days, but if things come up, I have and will continue to let you know.  I've made a commitment to do this and if I don't bake every day, I become anxious and feel like I haven't honored it.
My name is Lynne,  and I am a blessed to be married for 22 years to my high school sweetheart.  We have three beautiful children: two girls, ages 20, and 18, and a boy, 15.  We also have a dog named, Brady.  Yes, he was named after the Patriot's QB, Tom.  Our roots are in Rhode Island, but we transplanted in 2002 to warmer weather - Arizona, in fact.  I miss the accents and the food, and of course, family and friends.
Throughout the years, I have had many different jobs:  babysitting, usherette, ticket sales, office cleaning, asst. stage manger, bank teller, retail, retail, retail (yes, there was A LOT of that), and receptionist.  Most recently, I was an office manager for a veterinary clinic.  I was there for two years until May of 2010 when I left to become a full-time mom which has always been the job of my dreams.  I remember sitting on the school bus in high school looking out the window, seeing mom with kids in their car seats thinking that was all I wanted to do - be a mother.
I have always wanted to write and have throughout the years, but thought it would be fun to start a blog.  I didn't know what I would write about until I decided that I would bake something everyday for 365 days straight.  I also wanted a way to preserve recipes that have been handed down or over from family members and friends because some of those recipes are becoming pretty worn.  As you can see, some of the recipes are gluten-free because our daughter was on a GF diet for a few months.
Unless specified, I always use all-purpose flour and unsalted butter.
Thank you for reading!  I am so glad you stopped by.
